Congregational Transformation

What is Congregational Transformation?

Congregational Transformation is a ministry designed to help churches either maintain or regain their focus of inviting people to remember what church is all about.   This is done through 3 year process which includes targeted seminars and training opportunities.  The church and the pastor have access to a consultant and coach.

What is the Congregational Transformation Process?

  1. Every Church will fill out the Transformation Congregational Survey.
  2. The survey should be completed and returned per the instructions with the survey.
  3. The results will be summarized and reported to the Annual Conference
  4. Cabinet will select churches to invite to participate in the process.
  5. Church accepts or declines invitation.
  6. For those entering the process of transformation:

    • This is a 3 year process
    • Church leadership enters into a covenant commitment
    • Clergy and laity will participate in targeted seminars and training opportunities
    • The church makes an financial investment, on a sliding scale (avg. is $1000/year)
    • Church and pastor have access to consultant and coach
  7. Churches no participating may choose to enter in 3 years with the 2nd round of Congregational Transformation begins.

Who provides the Training and Coaching?

In September 2009 the North Texas Conference signed a contract with Don Nations of DNA COACHING to lead us in a 3-year process of “Congregational Transformation”.  Don had worked with Bishop Bledsoe when the Bishop was the DS in the Texas Conference.  Click here to read more about DNA COACHING and the services that are provided to the churches or to learn more about DNA Coaching, visit Don Nations’ website at www.dnacoaching.com.
